Dilute Washing up liquid

How to save so money, be kinder to your hands and save planet earth along the way. We have been using fairy washing liquid pretty much all our lives. Then came along that little foaming dispenser, which we love. It’s a bit more plastic, but we refill it using the 5 liter bottles. But they didn’t make it that easy. If you put the neat washing up liquid into the foamer, it doesn’t work at all. You first have to water it down to 1 part of washing liquid to 5 parts water. Only then does it foam. By watering it down we save an awful lot of washing liquid. The more we save, the less is ends up going down the drain and into our waterways.

Basically pure washing up liquid is really strong. Once you put it on neat it requires a lot of rubbing and water to rinse it off. Which is a waste of water, time and not good for our planet or who lives on it. Behind The Label : fairy liquid ->

One other thing, my uncle also started using the foamer (the original one) and he started getting skin rashes on his hands. But after switching to the watered down original fairy all is back to normal.

So fairy are selling the foamer refills more expensive than the normal fairy, and it’s really watered down. I guess they really do care about the planet after all, or just making us pay more for less more like.

Foaming dispenser usually lasts use 3 years. But the amount of washing up liquid it saves, surely out weighs to extra plastic of the dispenser. And it is definitely kinder to your hands diluted.

To wash anything really greasy, you have to go back to the bottle and use it neat. But we very rarely have to do that.

IF you don’t fancy using the foaming dispenser, use another way to be able to control the quantity you use. As the corporates just want you to use more regardless. But what ever you do, don’t forget to dilute washing up liquid.
